Nanci Zee music bio

Nanci Zee has been entertaining audiences in New Orleans and the surrounding areas for a number of years now. Not only does she have a wonderful voice and rock solid delivery of the great American Songbook, but her interaction with audience members is a frolicsome delight to see in action.
Nanci and her band, ranging from trio to septet, have played in some of New Orleans hottest clubs like The Spotted Cat, May Baily's Place, The Bombay, Club Marigny Brasserie, The Royal Frenchmen Hotel, The Blue Room in the Roosevelt Hotel, The People's Listening Room in Mobile AL, and other places and private engagements.
Not only does Nanci have a strong and mighty following, but when she performs, her voice and delivery attracts more people to come in AND...... keeps the people in their seats who would otherwise move on.
Accompanying Nanci is Pete Rozé on guitar who is originally from NYC where he got to play with sidemen of the famous big bands. This includes Eddie Barefield from Cab Calloway & Count Basie, Doc Cheatham from Ma Rainey, Benny Goodman and Chic Webb. Out of Nashville TN, Pete toured with Broadway musicals such as The Color Purple, Big River, Avenue Q, and others.
Jim Greene lays down the solid upright bass lines. Jim has worked with Ian Hendrickson-Smith from the legendary Roots of Tonight Show fame and with Neal Sugarmen of Dap Tone Records.
Both Pete and Jim are alumni of the Flying Neutrinos swing band that was so popular in the 90s.
